Article: Volumes at Best Buy Theater 5/13/15

So, funny story. Its a “Cool story bro!” type moment in my life, except its not sarcastic and it really is freakin’ awesome. So back in January, I had the opportunity to shoot Volumes when they toured with Upon a Burning Body and Veil of Maya at Webster Hall’s Marlin Room. This day in January was poignant to this day, mainly because the band requested me to come back to cover their tour with Crown The Empire and Of Mice & Men. NOW!, everyone knows Of Mice & Men is very technical with publicity, but due to a phenomenal tour manager with OMM, I was allowed to be the only photographer in the press pit with Volumes tour photographer Sam Shapiro, to cover their 30 minute set. While other photographers were allowed to shoot photos via soundboard, I had an advantage. The downside, I was allowed to shoot Crown The Empire by soundboard (which I did not) and I was denied to shoot Of Mice & Men. I took the hit and did not complain mainly because I was all-access and had the privilege to watch the remainder of the show via side stage. The rest of the time I spent with the band watching Game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoff between the Rangers and the Capitals.  Totally a night to remember and one hell of an after party I cannot even speak of.
