I have not been excited for a tour during this Summer than I was for this one. With no stops being made in New York City for this monumental occasion, it was up to me and the select few to venture to Poughkeepsie and witness this happening at The Chance Theatre. Although I never have been there before, it was a warm welcoming experience to see my friends in King Parrot and the employees were friendly. Fans stopped pitting to let us journalists get out of the area before proceeding. Fans never got in our way or complained. We weren’t pelted with cans or water (Unless it was someone on stage, Thanks Phil!), Almost every bad thing that can happen at a show was NOT present here and by goodness I felt spoiled by fans for being a music journalist. Check out the photos below for the “It Takes Guts” tour, it really did considering our photo pit was a single aisle end by end pit to which mobility was NOT relevant.
