Between The Buried and Irving 12/15/15
What might have been the final tour of 2015 for myself, could have been a progressive metal-heads dream. With what I can an “All in the Family” moment, Intronaut, Native Construct and Between The Buried and Me got together to tour and they brought along with them some Swedish extreme metaller’s by the name of ENSLAVED. This tour reminded me of what happened with Veil of Maya on the Danzig tour. He brought out Witch Mountain, Superjoint Ritual and Prong but everyone was perplexed as to how V.O.M got on board. The same exact thing happened here in this case, with audience members wondering how the heck Enslaved got on a progressive metal bill. Never-the-less, each band displayed killed everyone in the audience. The intricacy of progressive metal is zany, beautiful and one hell of a rollercoaster when attempting to understand the uniqueness each band brings to the genre.
