Metal Allegiance 4/7/16

Metal Allegiance Tour Banner 4:7:16

Metal Allegiance is a very special time for a photographer, least in my opinion. The famed super-group encompassing musicians from different walks of life such as Testament, Slayer, Exodus, Guns N’ Roses, Death Angel, Anthrax, Mastodon, Arch Enemy and so much more all come together to revel in glorified covers of classic songs as well as their own original content. The immediate members (Alex Skolnick, Mark Menghi, Mike Portnoy, Mark Osegueda and Dave Ellefson) handled the night at Gramercy Theater, playing 6 months after their initial massive show at PlayStation Theater which was the whole group of members. Opening for them are Mike Portnoy’s sons band “Next To None.” I have seen the band before but never really covered them, but his son Max, is a spitting image of his father. Talent, bravado and simply incredible… Just goes to show you that in music, the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. Check out the photos below and the massive set-list from the night.
