The year has started…in the dark. That’s right ladies and gentlemen the genre known as “BLACK METAL” has descended upon Gramercy Theater and for us photographers, that means the ugliest lighting in the world. For patrons attending the event, it means the craziest mosh pits known to mankind. Funny thing is, its every man for themselves. Mayhem, yes, MAYHEM… sold out the Gramercy Theater, as they performed the classic and legendary De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in its entirety, with their counterparts Inquisition and New York Black metal titans Black Anvil opening up the tour run and the nights festivities. Check out the photos below so you can see the pure madness I went through when the lights were on…. and off.
